History

In 1976 the Netherlands based Colombier Group acquired a small paper converters based in the East End of London - Ling Paper Converters. The name of the company was changed to Atlas Paper Ltd, taking its name from the Atlas Works.

After successfully increasing both sales and volume throughput, the name of the company was changed again in 1985 to Colombier (UK) Ltd. This harmonised the branding with the other fully owned converters in the Colombier Group, strategically located in the Netherlands, the UK, Spain and in recent years Finland and Poland.

Colombier (UK) relocated to a greenfield site in Sittingbourne, Kent in 1989, having purpose-built a 6000 sq. mts warehouse and factory unit. Sales increased to over 100,000 tns per annum making it necessary to build a 5,100 sq. mts warehouse extension and loading area in 1997.

Colombier (UK) Ltd is now firmly established as a leading independant paper sales and conversion company with a reputation for high quality, professional and entrepreneurial approaches to all its business areas.
